Prevent Duty and Radicalisation Awareness Training

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in relation to the Prevent Duty and radicalisation risks. It explores the legal framework, including the responsibilities under relevant legislation, and explains how radicalisation is approached as a safeguarding concern rather than solely a criminal issue. Learners will gain insight into identifying vulnerability factors, recognising behavioural and emotional warning signs, and understanding how individuals may be influenced over time. The course also outlines appropriate response strategies, including reporting procedures, escalation pathways, and multi agency collaboration through structured frameworks such as the Channel process. In addition, it focuses on proactive prevention by building resilience, promoting open communication, and creating safe environments that support early intervention. This course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and confidence required to act responsibly, protect individuals, and contribute to effective safeguarding practices within their professional roles.
