Adult Safeguarding Awareness and Protection

This course is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of adult safeguarding, focusing on protecting individuals at risk from abuse, neglect, and harm. It covers key safeguarding principles, legal frameworks such as the Care Act 2014, and the responsibilities of professionals in maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Learners will explore different forms of abuse, recognise warning signs, and understand how to respond appropriately using correct safeguarding procedures. The course also highlights reporting pathways, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements, along with proactive prevention strategies and person centred approaches. By the end of this course, learners will have the knowledge and confidence to act responsibly, follow safeguarding protocols, and contribute to a culture of safety and protection within health and social care settings.

Module 1: Safeguarding Principles and Legal Framework

By the end of this module, learners will be able to learn :
