What Is a CSCS Card?

What Documents Do You Need for a CSCS Card Application?  

Having the right documents ready before you start makes the application process much faster. You will need the following as a minimum. 

A valid CITB HS&E test pass, dated within the last two years. Proof of the qualification required for your specific card, such as an NVQ certificate or Level 1 Award. How Long Does It Take to Get Your CSCS Card?  

Processing times vary depending on how you apply and any backlog at the time. Third-party services sometimes quote longer timeframes, partly due to their own processing steps on top of the standard CSCS turnaround. This is another reason applying directly tends to be both cheaper and faster. 

What Are the CSCS Qualifications You Need for Different Cards?  

Qualification requirements scale with the responsibility of the card. Here is a quick reference for the most commonly applied-for cards. 

Green Labourer card requires a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. Blue Skilled Worker card requires an NVQ or SVQ Level 2 in a recognised trade.
